The General Assembly is responsible for discussing ongoing and future programs, providing strategic insights and recommendations, approving annual programs, and endorsing the annual budget. It ensures the network’s direction aligns with the overall goals and objectives of BEANS.
The General Assembly is composed of three groups:
Group 1: International and Regional Organizations. Actions: Provide technical and political orientation for the Network’s agenda, ensuring alignment with global and regional agricultural policies.
Group 2: National Agricultural Institutions and Research Centers. Actions: Contribute to setting priorities for research, development, and policy implementation. Offer insights from national and local contexts.
Group 3: Experts, Leading Farmers, and Private Enterprises. Actions: Provide expertise on practical applications, research orientation, innovations, and market dynamics. Offer feedback on the Network’s operational effectiveness.
Each Group plays a critical role in shaping the Network's direction, and their activities are essential in ensuring smooth operation.
